What To Expect In A Session…
Arrive without lotion, oil, cream, or makeup. Bring or wear a two-piece bathing suit; shorts and sports bra for women, shorts for men.
Your first session: We will spend some time discussing your goals and expectations, conduct a visual assessment, and then proceed to a hands-on treatment session
Established clients: Upon arrival, we’ll conduct a brief check-in and visual assessment before and proceeding to hands-on treatment.
In MFR, we assess the entire body to understand your concerns. You’ll receive activities to do at home between treatments to accelerate your results and get you back to an active life.
Setting clear, specific goals with a defined timeframe creates a roadmap for your actions and provides you a way to measure progress. This approach helps maintain focus, track milestones, and make adjustments when necessary. A clear timeframe also adds a sense of urgency, aiding in maintaining motivation and momentum.

ABOUT ME
My name is Emily Chiado. I am a licensed therapeutic massage therapist and Myofascial Release practitioner based in Illinois, dedicated to helping clients heal through presence, safety, and compassionate touch. My journey with Myofascial Release began in massage school and deepened after witnessing a powerful emotional release that changed the direction of my life. Since then, I have trained extensively in the John F. Barnes approach—traveling nationwide and completing a wide range of seminars including MFR I, MFR II, Unwinding, Advanced Unwinding, Fascial Pelvis, Women’s Health, Pediatric, Fascial Cranium, Cervical–Thoracic, Rebounding, and more.
My own healing path has shaped the way I work. After experiencing significant pain and loss of mobility in 2024, MFR helped me reclaim movement, strength, and hope. That transformation reinforced my belief that the body remembers—and it can also release.
My style is calm, gentle, and reflective. I integrate yoga, breathwork, meditation, and Reiki to support clients navigating trauma, chronic pain, and emotional release. Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and free to let go.
I believe that feeling is healing. Your body’s story matters, and together we can help it unwind, soften, and move toward a place of expansion and ease.
